Since consolidation in December 2014, Plaintiffs continue to come forward
and join in the Xarelto Federal Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) presided
over by Judge Eldon Fallon in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Xarelto federal
MDL is still in the pretrial stages and the bellwether trials are not
expected until early 2017. If you have been injured as a result of taking
Xarelto, this is a good time to review and consider your legal claims.

Xarelto was first approved by the FDA in 2011 to prevent blood clots and
deep vein thrombosis. Despite strong favorable marketing, many of the
current Xarelto lawsuits allege that the drug has dangerous side effects,
primarily that the Xarelto causes uncontrollable internal bleeding and
serious injuries. Plaintiffs allege that Xarelto is particularly dangerous
because there is no antidote that will stop the bleeding, such as Vitamin K.
An increasing number of these Xarelto MDL cases are claiming the wrongful death of a family member as a result of the Xarelto’s anticuagulant effects.
In August 2013 the FDA published a warning that Xarelto may cause uncontrolled bleeding, but Xarelto manufacturers continue to heavily market the drug nonetheless.
