Howmedica Osteonics Corp. (referred to as “Stryker Orthopaedics”), a subsidiary of Stryker Corporation has informed the courts in the New Jersey Multicounty and Federal Multidistrict litigations that 95% of registered eligible patients have enrolled in the Settlement Program under the Master Settlement Agreement announced in November 2014. As a result, Stryker Orthopaedics will move forward with the Settlement Program.
The base settlement award for each Plaintiff is $300,000 per hip revision surgery. The settlement program also pays for revision surgery and reduces any medical provider liens, such as Medicare through the settlement of all liens as part of the program.
If you have had a Stryker hip implant, you may qualify to participate in the Settlement Program, regardless of whether you’ve had revision surgery. Other hip implants are also effected through recalls. If you have had hip surgery, contact The Ahearne Law Firm, PLLC for a free consultation.
